The Wichita Parks Foundation will host the 5th Annual Red, White & BOOM! on Thursday, July 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. downtown on the KAKEland Lawn (in front of the Hyatt Regency), the Lewis Street Bridge, and Water Street. The event is being funded by the volunteer-led, non-profit Wichita Parks Foundation and our generous sponsors. We are extraordinarily grateful that, once again, Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers returns as our Presenting Sponsor.
This event will feature:
Food trucks will line Water Street in the Westar Energy Food Court, starting at 5:00.
A beer garden will be open all evening on the KAKEland Lawn, in front of the Hyatt Regency.
Local band, Groove 42, will perform a FREE concert on the Johnson Controls Stage, starting at 7:30.
Capping a great evening will be the Red, White & BOOM! Fireworks over the Arkansas River, starting at 9:50 PM. Music accompanying the show can be heard throughout the festival area, as well as via simulcast on 103.7 KEYN.

The Wichita Parks Foundation is currently seeking sponsors to help support this year's Red, White & BOOM! The Foundation is raising money privately to put on the celebration, so this is truly a community-based event. There are a variety of opportunities available, including presenting sponsors, stage sponsors, fireworks watch zone sponsors and banner opportunities. Contact Danielle Johnson, Planning Committee Chair at firstname.lastname@example.org, for more information or to schedule a face-to-face meeting to discuss those opportunities.
